This! :) I am aready busy in the comments, giving some well placed counter arguments. Boeing is simpy needed for this. We can just hope, that they recover and fix Starliner. One vehicle will not ensure uninterupted access to the ISS from the US.

I watched carefully so I could contribute some of my astute observations. But it's so damned good there's nothing left for me to add. /// But for your audience, you might add that there's no point in taking this as an opportunity for another round of Boeing-bashing. We all know the bad points, and have repeated them at every opportunity for many months. Boeing deserves it, but bathing in negativity is bad for the community.

As an aside. EASA is considering refusing to allow the 737-max into European air space even if the FAA re-certifies it. I was an aircraft mechanic for the airlines for 18 years. Aviation and aerospace today is not what it used to be. From the 60's to the 80's it was fun. Then came the bean counters and the CEO's with business degrees out of college who knew nothing about the engineering and didn't want to. Everything went slowly to hell and I got to watch it happen. Like having your heart ripped out.

Boeing was nowhere near ready for that flight. They were just sick of being pounded in the press over over the 737-max. They were dying for some good press which proves that Boeing has lost all control over itself. They are reactive instead of proactive and it cost them dearly. That's what happens when you replace engineering and science with politics. The system which was designed to protect you no longer works as it once did and you're left wondering why. Events force them to go back to the engineering to fix it while if they had simply stuck to good engineering it wouldn't have happened at all. NASA made the same mistake with Challenger. You never fly rockets with people on them unless the engineering says yes.

Looks great. I believe the timeline you posted regarding the static fire and 150 meter hop are incorrect though. I saw yesterday on the Lab Padre stream that the static fire was moved to next Monday and the hop moved to Wednesday.
