the dragon prince season 6 thoughts (complaints)

oh dear, I've watched the Dragon Prince season 6. Well, I liked it more than 4 and 5 but still there are so many plot holes and logic holes again and sometimes interractions are so not believable ughh or character's reactions!

I need to went so if you don't want to read my dislikes, don't read what's next! (also big spoilers)

And if you want to argue or discuss things, you are welcome!

okay, here I go:

1. Viren's reaction to Claudia who sacrificed so much for him is to leave her covered in blood and with no leg screaming and crying for him to stay, and not spending a fucking HOUR with her - WHAT?

2. Reila calmly with about no hesitation decides that she doesn't want to go to north to have a chance to release her parents from coins - WHAT

3. when Callum wakes her and tells her that he was sleep walking to the pearl she doesn't take it seriously at first and then acts so passively like "what can we doo :(" - WHAT? after all the shit they went through and considering how assertive she is? ugh

4. scene of breaking up of Terry and Claudia - ridiculous. Like... Again this beach and one person lays on the ground and oh nooo I can't follow youooo. It was ridicuous. At least they got together again.

5. When Viren died last time, he really did, right? And Claudia literally brought him back from dead for a month, okay. And now she didn't even try. It doesn't make sense! She does not feels remorse for using black magic, and she does everything for her family, and she NEEDED to see her dad again, talk to him (I SUPPOSE??) and she doesn't try to bring him back. I would get it if she couldn't do it this time for who knows what reason, but it would be different scenario.

6. Whole fucking stupid Aaravos and Leola drama. I love the emotional part of it, that Aa is a loving caring dad - that was wonderful, great and I loved this season for it. BUT the LOGIC in all of this... So little sense. How Aaravos couldn't prevent his daughter from doing something so forbidden that she might lost her life for it? Did he not know what is forbidden? Nonsence. And the whole giant judginh heads in the stars are somehow ridicuous to me...

Aaravos how could you lose your fellow crappy father boyfriend

I believe I missed something, I didn't actually pay much attention to whole season while I was watching it

I wouldn't mind the jelly tart story line and all if they just made it feel natural XD but I think it's just that the Jokes in General mostly don't land for me. All too staged imo but as you said, it is Primarly for kids. The drama almost always feels on point tho ♡

haha, happy for you! And yes! Runaan back is great! And I loved the choice she made (also totally get it, authors probably didn't want to see young hot parents to walk around) btw it's so odd that she decided to just free their sould instead of waiting for them to find the last crystal and then to give them bodies lol

haha yeah, I'm not speaking about jelly tarts because PROBABLY that's just the part for little kids audience, so silly things like these should be in such show.

Aaravos and sunfire elf grandmom - yes! what happened? I'm agree with you about Terry and Claudia break up, in the sense of meaning, I just so didn't like how it went TqT Choice of words or maybe it was again too fast, like you know when you feel like you are forced to feel the drama. But generally yes, I approve Terry's decision to wait for her at 100%. Also about Reyla - it's odd that they kinda forgot about fact that now she is banished from her elven village (or how to call it) and she didn't bring it? like it doesn't matter

I actually ended up really enjoying Season 6 and didn't feel some of the logic inconsistencies bogged it down too much. But I was also really, REALLY happy that Rayla saved Runaan. So, so glad he's back and that his importance to Rayla and Ethari wasn't thrown aside in order to bring back her birth parents! A deserved win for the gays.

Felt similar about the show, but almost from the start? I mean, I like it and all, but there are always glimpses of how much better it could have been if they only took a little more time establishing some things and cutting short with the jelly tart Jokes and what not (sorry, I really don't like the Baker and how much he was forced into the plot without giving me any reason to care about him) Gosh, I Could go on for hours XD but yeah, tots get you there

I actually really liked season 6 but I absolutely see where you're coming from on a lot of these things. Aaravos and his daughter? The whole thing felt forced. Like there was something off, which is why I think he might have been lying to manipulate Claudia. Objectively, his daughter dying wouldn't have anything to do with Janai's grandmother and we know he killed her. His anger was with the other star touched elves. I think he was lying. Viren leaving Claudia on the beach was horrific and unfair and it made me sick. I'm so, so sad for her. Like you said, he couldn't have waited? Why didn't he make sure she was okay? But as far as her not trying to bring him back- the first time it took two years and it took months of set up (the Child as a caterpillar, etc). These are things she doesn't have access to and she knows it. So the next best thing is to free Aaravos. Side note: why he so big?? I actually really adored Terry and Claudia's break up because while he could've followed her, that would've pushed her away. She needed to go, realize she can't be alone and know there was somewhere safe for her to land. And that somewhere safe isn't a place but a person. Had he moved and followed her it would've lost that meaning. If she had gone back to him and he truly wasn't there like he said? I think it would've broken her beyond repair. It's important for her to see that the people she loves are able to make promises they can keep. The stuff with Callum and Rayla is annoying. I definitely feel like the choices she's making are not in line with her character. She wouldn't have been so calm and collected about these things in the past. I don't understand and I don't like where they've taken her character. It feels like, personality wise, she and Callum have swapped and not really for the better? He's becoming more confident and self assured and she's just letting things happen around her. Uhhh I think that's everything. Overall I really, really loved the season. I thought it was on par with the first couple but that could just be because the last two were so bad this one seems spectacular in comparison.
