Chainsaw Man and Renovating a House | December 2022 Update

Hello!

Last month's video was the very overdue Breaking Down Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' Incredible Animation. It's something I really enjoyed making in the end, but oh my god is it stressful to make a video that you know is becoming less relevant every second. That's reflected in the views by the end - it's not exactly the heavy-hitter it could have been.

I try and plan ahead with videos, but missing out on Edgerunners' prime was definitely a bad call, and while I'm happy with the final product, I did end up rushing to finish it after finally realizing that it actually did have a unique production story. It also didn't help that I was waiting on responses from potential sponsors for like a week, and I got hit by a huge week-long power cut right as I was planning on releasing the video. Basically, a series of unfortunate events.

But with that aside, I'm planning on being relevant with my next video: Is Chainsaw Man a Good Adaptation? (Yes.) On the one hand, yes, it's about a show that's basically a view farm, but I do think I've got a topic worth talking about, and I absolutely love the team that's been gathered here. I respected the take in that article, and it represents a popular opinion among Chainsaw Man fans. However, I absolutely disagree with its perspective on adaptation and so the video instead became a shadow boxing match against a hot take I disagree with. If I could give one tip for other Youtubers, it would be to write videos as a friend of yours is on the verge of having a wrong opinion about a thing you like.

Anyways, I can promise you that this video will be out this month and hopefully that it will be a good watch. Right now, I'm in the "trying to script out my thoughts, but I'll probably need to go back and clean this up" stage of writing.

P.S. I should also mention that I recently bought my first house! (yay!) However, it's an absolute mess, so I'll be spending a lot of time around Christmas renovating it, so there's a chance the video may end up releasing later in the month than I might have hoped. That said, it'll give me the chance to include more episodes of the show.
