I feel that early on they had a chip on their shoulder when entering the music industry which is understandable and knowing their story, they had a right to feel that way . All in all this was a great body of work !

2022-04-13 02:55:07 +0000 UTCLove watching these album reactions with you Nigel! it feels like i'm re-experiencing the songs lol XD You should totally check out the Satoori Rap (Paldogangsan) explained video, I saw you vibed with it and yeah it sounds awesome but also has a deeper meaning that can be hard to understand for people who aren't Korean. I think Satoori accents/ dialects sound absolutely gorgeous (especially Southeastern dialects like the Busan accent). There is a stereotype that Satoori is basically the "country bumpkin" way of speaking in big cities like Seoul where they speak with the Gyeonggi dialect which is basically the "elite" or "standardized" way to speak Korean. Basically Paldogangsan was a rap they put together to show that even though they come from different areas and speak different ways, they work as a group and these differences make up their charm and uniqueness.

2022-03-23 03:29:30 +0000 UTCCoffee was a remake song that was originally sung by Urban Zakapa a chill r&b group. BTS did an amazing job with the rap portion but stayed true to the chorus parts <3 definitely one of my favs off the album

Their early albums are low-key underrated π My ALL time favorite album HAS to be MOTS:7, it is truly a masterpiece and probably the most versatile album I've ever heard. It covers so many different genres it's amazing! Then it would be Love Yourself: Tear. I am telling youuu oh my lord you're gonna love it π© 3rd favorite is BE, such a good album, more chill vibes and it was perfect for when it was released

But could you please to read the lyrics by doolset? like maybe you can do the lyric video first and then check the lyrics on doolsets blog because you would understand so many songs wayyyyyyy better, get actual translations where someone put thought into and explanations to things you wouldn't know as a non-korean. please please please

2022-03-05 23:51:24 +0000 UTCThe color codes are wrong quite often, because a lot of the time they're made by people who aren't even army, but just want the views. So they just plug stuff into google translate, and that's why sometimes the lyrics seem weird (bc they're not translated well/carefully). I think there are some trusted ones out there, though! And sometimes it's just human error lol. Also, Satoori rap is cool because they're rapping in the different dialects/accents from various regions of SK! Someone like me and you wouldn't pick that up bc we don't speak Korean, lol, but apparently it's really clever! LOVE your album reactions!! Can't wait till you reach some of my faves. Love Yourself: Tear is a masterpiece.
