I’m from 2024 and I recently just graduated and I never felt so close to a song then I do to mixtape 3 I cried😭😭😭 The message was something I really needed to hear bc I have no clue how I am going to pay for college and I might have to take a year off which will prolong my journey. I want to be a psychologist 12 years of schooling and taking a year off would truly be a pain THANK YIU STRAY KIDS🩷🩷

2023-07-07 10:15:39 +0000 UTCIm glad you noticed that Felix has started rapping more on this album because he starts to really rap more from here on out because at this point he had gotten more comfortable with Korean while he barely knew any Korean in the beginning!! I also like that you picked up on how their themes for the earlier albums revolve around them finding themselves or having doubts about choosing the path that they chose because SKZ commented on their most recent album intro for 5 Star that their earlier stuff prior to Gods menu (and the album GO LIVE) revolves around the concept of being astray and finding your own path and then from Gods menu its about establishing themselves and their new genre of "noise music" and being "annoying" but addictive!! Also im sure someone else has already said this but the mixtapes also have different names and this happened when SKZ re-recorded some of their songs after Woojin left and put it in the SKZ2020/2021 album!! Mixtape #1 is called Placebo (It also has a music video that they did as a special gift on a later SKZ code episode), Mixtape #2 is Behind the Light, Mixtape #3 is For You, and Mixtape #4 is called Broken Compass (and it also has a music video if you wanted to check that out)!!!

And you and me are the same when it comes to Mixtape #2…..literally had me in my feelings especially seeing where they are now in their careers. Also there’s a MV for Mixtape #4 I think so definitely watch that 🤗

But Nigel..I have a small recommendation, if you could watch ATEEZ Wooyoung's dance he did to Logics 1-800-273-8255? It's such a emotional preformence and I respect wooyoung for doing that. And he also added sign-language to it aswell which I absolutely lovee. I think you'll like it aswell and be an emotional wreck along with me

2023-07-07 03:24:03 +0000 UTCI have been telling a lot of reactors and people who request songs to reactors that when it comes to SKZ, yeah do a couple of songs they might like, but I also say all the time to have them do album reviews because as much as I love their new stuff, there is something about their old stuff that just gives you a bigger appreciation for them. It also shows you where they were in that particular era. So many songs have helped me thru so many things in my life. Also just to give you a heads up that all the mixtapes are expanded versions from 3Racha songs. So each mixtape has a 3Racha parent song. Mixtape #4 has a street music video and they were renamed in their later album. Side effects has a performance video that is absolutely incredible and gorgeous you should check it out.

Stray Kids are known for their emotional and REAL lyrics. I didn't get into SKZ until last summer, but I have been told that Yellow Wood era was a VERY TOUGH time for SKZ and Stays. It's where the hate train grew and never stopped. Side Effects had an impact because it was such a genre that is not known, and a lot of people did NOT like it. Mixtape #1 = Placebo Mixtape #2 = Behind the Light Mixtape #3 = For You Mixtape #4 = Broken Compass AND PLEASE, when you react to Levanter album, also react to the dance practice! It's one of my favorites <3

That song has such a heart-rendingly hopeful message, and it was so touching that you were impacted as well. It’s beautiful that Stray Kids have gone from feeling lost to embracing humanity’s lifelong wandering.

2023-07-07 02:00:35 +0000 UTCi really love side effects, and it was such a hell back then when it released. because of how different sounds, it caused them to be so out of place from every other groups, and a lot of ppl didn't liked it. i also had this thing where i didn't know if i liked it that much, BUT THEN, as i started listening to it a lot more i can tell you SIdE EFFECTS IT'S A FREAKING BANGEEER it's just full of iconic lines and everything just feels so well connected, even the crazy chorus no need to talk abt the choreography, it's crazy how accurate it is to the meaning of the song, u can really see how it expresses the feeling of dizziness and being just with this enormous headache that can't let you think properly about ur decisions in what to do with ur life this album is magical, and i can really tell that here is when the real stray kids comes up with their sound BC IT'S ALL ABOUT EXPERIMENTING

2023-07-07 01:33:34 +0000 UTCalso just for a little background, yellow wood was a repackage album, repackage contains songs from the previous album/s plus two to four brand new songs added, in this case all the mixtapes were songs from 3racha back in pre debut days (officially released through out 2017) and they were remade & turned into "special cd only tracks" for all the albums you've checked rn, the order goes like this: "Placebo" (3RACHA) > Mixtape 1 (I AM NOT) "If there's a shadow, there must be light" (3RACHA) > Mixtape 2 (I AM WHO) "For you" (3RACHA) > Mixtape 3 (I AM YOU) "Broken compass" (3RACHA) > Mixtape 4 (Clé 1: Miroh) And about the second guessing u talk ab in their lyrics... that's something that connects to their lore lmao but it would take me to long to explain everything rn and i've already commented too much LOL I'M SORRY😭 i swear i'll try to explain in the next album, excuse my bad grammar too! thanks again nigel

2023-07-07 01:16:15 +0000 UTCnigel i was so scared that you wouldn't like this album, because this era was pure hell for the fandom back then, side effects was a total hit or miss for a lot of ppl and skz went through so much hate during that time, not only because ppl hated the song but because of other things that happened too but mostly the production of the song started a big hate train to them, i'm so glad you liked it! this comeback turned the kids into pioneers of psychedelic trance music in kpop!! in my opinion the song, plus the concept and the choreo (one of my faves) are a masterpiece! this was the very first comeback where we had something totally different from them and i was so proud of them for trying new things and doing what they want, cause 3racha is really involved in the process of conceptualization and ofc song making. now you're just like me nigel, i'm a mixtape hardcore loveeeeer!! ahhh they're so good, i never recommended them cause i knew u would eventually get to them but also i didn't expect u would like them this much! i think i'm picking up your taste more after this, and omg if you like this vibe then you're gonna go insane with queen levanter in the next album! can't waaait <3 thanks for the reaction!

Alot of the old mixtape songs are based off 3racha songs that where written long before SKZ debut and then they where reworked to fit 9 members with everyone contributing their own lyrics.

Their dancing is so good and the mixture of the fast chorus with what feels like even faster dance moves just tops it off. Definitely a must watch.

They didn't experience success quickly in their beginning, and they weren't promoted like the rest of their company. They were struggling heavily mentally. I want to recommend a concert ending moment video next month to hopefully let you see into their minds on their journey and how much they depend(ed) on STAY. *For those that know, it's the first concert without Woojin. The one where Hyunjin broke my heart 😭
