The first version of Wolfgang was done without Hyunjin because he was on hiatus or finishing school (forgot which one) (I think it was the hiatus but it wasn't really a hiatus. He was suspended from the group due to bullying allegations that were later proven false) so that's why there are two versions of ‘Wolfgang’ but I believe that they only released an official track for the one where Hyunjin is in. I could be wrong though

Hi Nigel, I'm not sure if someone told you already but Star Lost is actually dedicated to a Stay who was sick with a rare illness and passed away. Her name was Hiwa and they had met for the first time online during covid in 2021 through Make-A-Wish Japan. It was her birthday so they sang happy birthday to her in Japanese and they promised that they would see her again when they went back to Japan for their tour. Unfortunately, her illness suddenly got worse and she passed away a few days before she was set to meet Stray Kids again at their concert. Stray Kids cried during the show and sang Star Lost in dedication to her. Chan also read a letter to Hiwa from the members. He said that they performed extra hard and passionately for Hiwa in hopes that they could reach her who is watching them from the sky in Heaven. There is a behind the scenes of making the three subunit songs (Red Lights, Surfin' and Gone Away) in episodes called "Howl in Harmony". Also, the reason there's an OT8 version of Wolfgang is because Hyunjin wasn't present for Kingdom (apart from the very first performance), so this is the full song basically. In the Kingdom performance, I believe Han takes his part as well as his own.

Nigel! I get your confusion to CHEESE, and yes it deserves all I’m about to write because this song Is just too clever. This is my interpretation of the song. First things first; Noeasy as an album is a slap at the haters for the reactions to especially Gods menu and Side effects. They were criticized for making “noice“ or construction music. I’m sure others have mentioned it but if you fold all the named fingers, you are literally flipping someone off lol. The cheeses that were mentioned are cheeses with low lactic acid, so lactose intolerants can still eat them. They are trying to say that everyone can listen to their music, they don’t have a specific crowd they write for. Changbins lyrics “Is the pigeon and the magpie funny to you“ references to his first verse of gods menu where most of the criticism came from and I believe was the inspiration for the album. I interpret the lyrics “Is it funny that we have a headache“, again the criticism of their construction music which their fans seem to enjoy and they themselves like to make. This is also a line from Side effects. Felix also say the line “look, why’d you say it like that“. This I believe is from the survival show because when Minho made a mistake for his last mission Felix asked him exactly this but since he was still learning Korean he sounded accusatory and this has sadly been used against him. I.N have said in old vlogs that people found him scary because he didn’t use to smile much and always had a resting face. He decided to smile instead, and it has become his signature in the Stray kids for sure. I believe this is why they gave him the iconic line; one two three CHEESE. Overall, this song is about cheese but it’s the stray kids cheese. Unless you break down each bar it won’t make much sense but it’s also just the vibe of the song, it has more of a punk rock sound than a hip-hop beat I believe people would have assumed they would use for a clap back song but this again shows their versatility. Lastly thank you for all your reactions they are way to funny and how you try your best to interpret the songs, but some of their songs are like this one and it is hard for a first listen!

He's naturally really really good at trot singing, but I think he probably had a challenge to adjust his tone to fit kpop and especially being so young when he debuted, he's learned and improved so much to be way more stable. His vocals in "Maniac" (the first skz song I heard) were one of the first (aside from Felix of course haha) that stood out to me - I love his unique higher voice. Felix, I.N., and Changbin I think have the most unique voices in the group that stood out to me, but they're all crazy amazing vocalists and just keep getting better

Honestly, I loved Cheese the first time I heard it. I was lowkey a little confused/not getting the full meaning yet but I was vibing and I loved I.N.'s voice the first time he did the little pre-chorus thing (when he says "What's the matter?"). Felix listing the cheese types made me laugh and confused me though "Thunderous" is one of my favorite skz MVs. I frickin' love Changbin's thunder shout. Red Lights is actually about an unhealthy obsession with something/someone (its Korean name translates to obsession). Both chan and hyunjin are such workaholics that no matter how physically and mentally exhausted they are they'll always prioritise their work over everything else even their own health and wellbeing. The song is mainly about their somewhat detrimental obsession with work but they made the MV this way to kinda also represent other types of obsessions/toxic relationships and to add an artistic dimension to it

i agree with what you said about i.n's growth as a vocalist, if you listen to him on the survival show then listen to more recent clips, the growth is insane! he was good back then, but he's amazing now. you can tell he really put in a lot of work over the years, same goes for all of them really but to me the difference is most noticeable with i.n also, i love cheese but it's not for everyone haha. i grew up on alternative/punk/pop punk music and cheese gives me those vibes which is why i love it

cheese makes lots of references to their songs that got lots of criticism in the past (du du du du du du, crows/magpies : gods menu) (crows crowing : awkward silence) (headache : side effects) I think that the subtitles are a bit wrong on this lyric video, if you put down the fingers listed in the official lyrics it makes a thumbs up (not sure if this is true but i saw people saying that in the background they say the fingers that make the middle finger) Don’t quote me on this but i’m pretty sure the cheeses felix listed are the cheeses that are easiest to digest for lactose intolerant people and most people say that it means stray kids have something for everyone Cheese is basically a song laughing at their haters

CHEESE is definitely an acquired taste. It’s basically an f you to those who hate what they do, and the way they went about sending that message was creative for sure. Personally, I’m still not super into it, but the MV goes hard. Gone Away is so underrated!! If you like that song, you’ll love “Waiting for Us” which is a track on ODDINARY.

I would love to suggest this in the recommendation tier (but it's sold out ㅠ) but whenever you have time you should totally get into "[SKZ SONG CAMP] howl in harmony" it's a nice little 5 episode series about the noeasy units and how they came up with the concepts of their songs. I just think it's a fun little watch! so definitely recommend whenever you can:)

So cheese is strange- I saw you liked a comment earlier up but the second part to that is that the chorus thats just full of "yeah yeah" and the same verse being repeated was because a lot of hate they were getting at the time was people saying their music all sounded the same/was noise music/repetitive. So they made this song as repetitive as possible as well. Also- NoEasy -> Noisy. This is one of the few albums where they REALLY clapped back at people
