June 18th to July 1st

Hey hi folks! It's been a weird two weeks!

I've been struggling creatively, so my output hasn't been as good, and that's impacted my mood a bit. But there have been good things too!

My RemakeJam game crashed and burned when I realized that the way I'm making the game (with a fake 3D layering style) is taking way too much power to run, which means laptops and the like can't play it. I'm trying to find ways to optimize it still, but I may end up turning it into an actual 3D project in Unity with the help of a programmer. I'll keep you posted!

Oh My Gush! has also suffered more delays, and I'm doing my best to bring the next episode around as well as find a reliable way to get them recorded regularly. Thanks for your patience!

I'm also wrapping up commissions soon, which means more slots open for work in the very near future! I'm excited to share what I've been working on.

Twitch also surprised everyone by opening up subscriptions to affiliates, which means that I now have monthly subscribers on my stream! Since Patreon and Twitch can't really speak to each other, I'm keeping both systems separate; nothing changes for patrons, while subscribers get exclusive Twitch chat emotes along with some video quality options for live streams. Since my Patreon focuses more on my archived videos and my other creations, hopefully the two can coexist peacefully!

I've also experimented with a new, more social stream setup for my Random Play & Speedrun streams. Since I want my Design Delve and Let's Play streams to be archive-friendly and focused on the games, I bring up chat interactions myself with context and do more curating on that side of things. My other streams are less about making archived series and more about having fun and being social with folks, though, so I'll be giving more space to chat and audience reaction in those. I also plan to have more multiplayer content in those! Both stream types have vastly different styles and require different things from me, so I want to balance those in my stream schedule so I can keep making fun video series while also having a few opportunities here and there to relax and have fun with friends. ^^

The next two weeks are going to be filled with speedruns and, hopefully, a resurgence of art. And once again, as I get ever-so-close to making a living doing this, I want to thank you all for making this possible; I wouldn't be here without your support.
