My issue with saying the gay stuff is too much is that everything with Mac has always been too much. He was overly Catholic. Now he’s overly gay. Part of his character is that he lacks personal depth and so substitutes an actual personality with one of his big obsessions or traits. When he was Fat Mac, it was all about being fat. Now, fit Mac does get overshadowed by Gay Mac, but it is yet another hat that the character wears to hide his lack of personality.

2025-02-15 04:51:05 +0000 UTCWhile it is down from before Covid numbers (for example the highest American box office revenue ever was 11 or so billion in 2019 with endgame being a huge factor in that) it’s been in a steady incline upwards since Covid, obviously 2020 and 2021 were terrible years for movies but American box office cleared 8 billion last year, and with all the big names making projects this year I imagine that number is only going up.
