Cara in Creekmaw Episode 2 Details!

Hi everyone! As detailed before, this post will contain initial details for the upcoming episode of Cara in Creekmaw.

What will be in Episode 2?
Picking up from where Episode 1 left off, Episode 2 aims to delve deeper into the rabbit hole of the mystery in Creekmaw and build on the foundation that Episode 1 has laid.

Cara will return in her titular role, and time is quickly running out as the events in Creekmaw have started to unfold and unravel. Who can she trust and who can she believe in when everyone starts to be at each other's throats?

The episode structure
For the upcoming episode, there will no longer be two parts or an episode part, which was the case for E1P1 and E1P2, as I believe this splitting of parts, while allowing me to update the game quicker than before, is very disruptive as there is a requirement for me to focus on managing two releases instead of one full release in the middle of the same episode's development.

Moving forward, Cara in Creekmaw will update with full episode increments (i.e. E2, E3, etc.).

Will this change mean anything?
This change in moving to full episode increments will result in two outcomes.

  1. Incremental updates will take slightly longer (about 3-5 weeks longer)
  2. The overall content of Episode 2 and beyond will still be aimed to have as much content as what is available in Episode 1.

Of course, the question here is will those 3-5 weeks equate to creating as much content as was available in Episode 1, considering my current pace of development? Well, about that...

A fresh new rendering workstation is arriving!
Thanks to everyone's support, I have finally invested and am about to receive my first (of hopefully many) custom rendering workstations, a rig that will be dedicated solely to rendering and creating content!

This workstation will be coming in with the RTX 4090 and equally competent computer parts that will no doubt shave a healthy, healthy amount of render time off for future renders. I'm expecting to have this workstation set up near the middle to end of July, after which I will do some hardware testing to make sure everything doesn't explode or short-circuit (fingers crossed). Once all is well, I definitely cannot wait to utilize this new piece of hardware to accelerate my productivity and development, and for you guys to see the results!

Last, but not least...
As mentioned above and to shout this out in general, this post about Episode 2 and the new rendering workstation would have not been possible without the huge amount of support each and every one of you has placed in Cara in Creekmaw, and I aim to pay it back by taking all the lessons I have learned over the past 8 months and to channel it all towards the development and continued support for Cara in Creekmaw.

I sincerely thank everyone for the support and I can't wait to share more with all of you once the ball starts rolling for the development of Episode 2.

Thank you and stay safe!
