Wild enough it's because they DIDN'T know what was gonna happened. 99% of this was actually real interactions and reactions. All of those auditions and interviews were REAL and they had no clue about 'Bruno' being a movie whatsoever. Those interactions were real, including the Paula Abdul sitting on the mexican's scene. None of that was staged for the movie, it actually happened lmfao. That's why these movies are the cream of the crop, they aren't staged.

2022-11-17 23:07:15 +0000 UTCSasha Cohen was a female American figure skater in the early 2000s, Sacha (pronounced the same way as Sasha) Baron Cohen is a British comedian who started playing the character Ali G on The 11 O'Clock Show in England in the 90s, and it grew into him doing the 3 characters of Ali G, Borat and Bruno which he took to his own show, Da Ali G Show, which HBO did an American version of. The shows are well worth your time, as is the movie Ali G: Indahouse, which was made for a younger British audience than Borat or Bruno. It's still hilarious, though. I should have warned you about the dancing penis. That even shocked me when I first saw the movie. Another one of his that you might like is Grimsby, about a loser who finds out his brother is basically James Bond. Very funny movie.

2022-11-17 05:49:38 +0000 UTCstory time that no one asked for. a year or so after this came out, i was petsitting/house sitting for a neighbour, (their kids were probably 13 and 9 at that time whereas i was about 17). i arrived after they'd left, checked on the cat, etc. and the parents had left some DVDs for me because they knew we couldn't really afford it, one of them was bruno and i had been meaning to watch it. about 20 minutes in, im dying of laughter, and i hear the door open... their flight had been delayed, and i had to MAD SCRAMBLE to try and pause this movie at a not NSFW scene before the kids made it into the lounge room. i ended up just panicking and turning the whole TV off lmao
