one could argue that doing what 1500 people want(the polls) is a better way for everyone to get to see the movies they want. Since the most likes on any movie in discord recommendations is topped at 15? so thats about 1% of the people in the polls. thats because rn discord only has a small fraction of people that patreon has. He seems to try to do 3 thing, discord recommendations, patreon recommendations and polls, which makes sense to me. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I joined the discord server and left after a few days and then the dude "MajorMayhem" sends me a friend request and DM asking me why I left. I've sent you an email about this before, but you can compress the videos with no visible loss in quality, GREATLY reducing file sizes. IIRC you were saying upwards of 20-30GB for an hour long episode or even more for a movie upload? An hour of 1080p video can be compressed to 6-12 GB EASY, and 2 hours to like 8-15 GB. You really need to hit me or somebody up about that. It would get around storage issues greatly.

Hey man, have you tried using HandBrake? It's a small app you can download online that will compress your videos. It's the one with the pineapple and drink for the icon. All you have to do is drop the video into it, and start it up for most things. (There are some extra steps, if you want to burn subtitles into the video though.) I actually use it for my channel with reactions, and it cuts the size of the file in half without losing much quality. Just an option for the future, if you're interested! It's saved so much space for my computer and online storage.

So I'm loving G.O.T. I watched it when it first came out and could hardly wait until the next week. Love watching it back to back. You had Ghost Rider up for a vote, I know it didn't win, but what an awesome movie. Also Armageddon with Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thorton and Liv Tyler (Steven Tyler's daughter, lead singer for Aerosmith) Sling Blade is another good movie. hey man it happens. A lot of it might be because you are including the whole episode or movie in the same file. Usually reactors just upload the video of themself with a time code generator..and patreons are required to find their own copy to sync. That's probably why your files are so big though.

Growing pains are to be expected in the beginning. No worries. I would also highly recommend not relying on 3rd party platforms to maintain the only copies of your reactions. Keep backups offline just in case. But I am guessing you probably already learned that lesson. Love the channel!

For the price to value ratio, none of that matters. I could see it being a issue if you wanted $15+ per month but 5 bucks is a cup of coffee. Anyone complaining about not getting older videos at 5 bucks should well, get their life in order. With that said, you should be able to find drop boxes with much higher storage for backups for issues like this if that interests you. :)
