Its powerful and Wanda is the MCU's most powerful because of it. Agatha is one of the original witches from the Salem witch trials who goes on to become a significant figure in the Marvel universe (in the comics) and the mother of supervillian Nicholas Scratch from Fantastic 4. She went by a few names in the comics , Pulsar, Photon, Captian Marvel, and Spectrum. She can turn herself into and manipulate every type of energy. This includes powerful energy that other beings are using. She being made of pure energy, is immortal. She cannot warp reality but there is no limit to her power so its not uncommon for her to beat people who can. I remember one story in the comics when she flew out to fix a dozen satellites around earth then came back before the avengers even had time to take a breath. With just one attack, she defeated Shuma-Gorath who is considered the most powerful demonic being in Marvel. The MCU often writes there characters different and weaker than they do in the comics but i hope they do her justice.

So the first one was about the 50s, based off of Dick Van Dyke. The second episode was the 60s, based off of Bewitched. Third was the 70s and like you said, it was like the Brady Bunch. The fourth sitcom was the 80s, based off of Family Ties. The Halloween episode was 90s, based off of Malcolm In the Middle. And the last one was early 2000s, based off of Modern Family. I told you this show would fuck with you. You gotta think about the weird little details. Why is there random rewinding? Is this all real? Phase 4 of the MCU is stepping into some crazy new stories so you gotta expand your mind of the possibilities. It's not gonna just be about action anymore. This is some wild Mind fuckery stuff. So just buckle up Leo! So all of the commercials are pretty important, as you notice they all connect to Wanda and her traumatic past. The toaster about Stark Industries, the company that killed her parents. Tony's weapons killed them and could've killed her and Pietro. Several of them about Hydra, where she went after she grew up, and were experimented on with the Mind Stone. You missed the watch on the second episode, the watch said Hydra as it zoomed in. Strucker is the Hydra scientist who experimented on Wanda and Pietro. The commercial about Lagos was a reference to Civil War, when she and the Avengers were in Lagos. Remember that she accidentally threw a bomb vest on Rumlow into a building when it went off, killing several Wakandans. So that slogan was pretty disturbing. "When you make a mess, you didn't mean to." That's really spooky. Then the commercial in the Halloween episode was about Wanda herself. She is the starving kid at sea. She's desperate and alone, and she needs to use her magic. If she doesn't use it, she feels like she'll die. Cause this is all so she doesn't have to face the reality that Vision is dead. So she has to snack on "Yo-Magic" or she will wither away and die. The last one about the Nexus anti depressants are also about Wanda, and what she is. A Nexus Being. I'll talk about that in a second. Fun little tidbit about Agatha. Every sitcom episode, she was wearing that brooch on her somewhere. Either pinned on her shirt, or as a necklace, it was on her. The same brooch that she stole from her Crane Mother back in the 1600s when she killed all those witches. It's a hint the whole time that she put herself in there, cause it's like a symbol of her power. Monica Rambeau is the little girl from Captain Marvel. Carol had her old friend, Maria, who had that little girl. This is her all grown up. And she got some powers from going too many times between the barrier, so she will be pretty important in the future. And someone in the sky wants to meet with her. Don't forget that in Far From Home, the real Nick Fury was in space, on "vacation" so yeah she'll meet Nick at some point. And that Sword necklace she had on inside the Hex as Geraldine was the same symbol on the Helicopter Wanda found. Thats how she got found out. Also we see Jimmy Woo come back. The FBI Agent from Ant Man 2, with the magic card trick that he learned finally 🤣 super cool to see him back. Plus we got Darcy, from Thor 1 and 2! Jane's friend finally made a return, also really cool to see more returning characters. The "fake Pietro" was a reference to some other movies that you definitely need to watch at some point. There's movies that are not part of the MCU, but will be brought in at some point, that it's really important you know about. Like watching Ghost Rider, (but more important) these movies are really important to watch. The Fox X-Men Movies. That actor who played Pietro here played in those movies. It's a hint because at some point, the X-Men and mutants will be brought in to the MCU. So definitely make sure you watch the X-Men movies. As well as the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies. You'll need to see those before you watch Spider-Man No Way Home. So some stuff about Wanda. She's called the Scarlet Witch. Thats her hero name. She's what's called a Nexus being. The same Nexus that was said in that anti depressant commercial. A Nexus Being is a person whose power can affect their whole Universe, across time itself. Wanda does this using Chaos Magic. Chaos Magic allows a person to rewrite reality by their own will. So yeah, Wanda might be the strongest person we've seen in the MCU so far. Stronger than Thor, Hulk, anybody. She was even about to body Thanos, and that was before she fully transformed into what she is now. But a Nexus Beings power spans across the entire Universe. All of reality and creation. And apparently, she unleashed something. I would imagine that power existing could just be dangerous in and of itself. And Wanda had powers from birth. She used a probability Hex to stop the missile. The Mind Stone really buffed her power, allowing her to do bigger things, but she was a Witch from birth, which is crazy to find out. Wanda and Pietro in the comics are mutants, but in the MCU, that word hasn't even been said yet. Also, something really cool about Vision is when he left the Hex. Remember how he was worthy to wield Thors Hammer in Age of Ultron? Its because of his love for humanity. When he was being painfully pulled apart and dying, what's the first thing Vision said? "The people need help!" Not "Help me" He asked for help for other people before himself. He was truly being selfless. Thats such a sick moment, he shows why he's worthy, he truly cares for humanity and wants to help innocent people. Episode 8 and 9 were so heartbreaking. Wanda has suffered a shit ton. The pain of grief was so strong that she uncontrollably created the Hex. I feel a lot for her, but its like you said. She went too far. Once she realized what she did, she kept it up, not ending it, at the expense of other people. Making them suffer so she doesn't have to feel her pain. That's not okay. But that ending with Vision got me. Wanda made Vision in the Hex from her love for him. She is her "Vision". Visions quote about grief being love persevering was such a perfect line as well. It's so true as well. Grief is the ultimate expression of love. It means that they mattered and that it was real. But my god the pain does get unbearable sometimes. Wanda can't just bring everyone back. I mean... she could but its not gonna be real, let Natasha and Tony rest. They're gone 😔 Also, it seems like you mightve missed almost all the end scenes in episodes 7, 8, and 9. There's two in 9 so make sure you see both of them. But this show is really good and now, Falcon and The Winter Soldier is next!

Everything Marvel does builds into something else down the line. The first few episodes the actually did film it before a real studio audience in order to keep the feel of an old sitcom. The logo on the toy helicopter, on the back of the zoo keeper, and Geraldine's necklace were the same. For the government agency Sword. Good catch on the talking about "for the children" but there not being any kids anywhere yet on the show. Wanda's kids actually come from the comics. They will be back again of course ;), and in important roles. Good job catching that Wanda was running everything, though not quite how you thought. Monica, is the little girl from the Captain Marvel movie. When Wanda blasted Geraldine/Monica out of her house, she broke her through 4 walls (breaking the 4th wall like Deadpool does) The actor who played Pietro in this, is from the X-Men universe with the same name, Quicksilver. Its not the same one from MCU. A fun little thing Marvel did since they were closer and closer to using X-Men/mutant terminology in the MCU. That's why the analyst girl Darcey (from Thor) said "she recast pietro?" New person, same character. The Halloween costumes for all 5 of them are all pretty accurate to their actual comics outfits. Wanda/The Scarlet Witch is one of, if not the most powerful Marvel characters. Agatha Harkness is another Marvel witch character. She's got her own series coming up on D+ also eventually. Salem, Massachusetts: home of the Salem witch trials from 1692-93. The White Vision that Sword created and programmed is basically just the body but no memories. The regular Vision that Wanda recreated had all the memories, but no body. The real Vision is dead from back in Infinity War. But then when Wanda's Vision gave him all the memories, he became the new whole package. The commercials were originally planned to be a way of Dr. Strange trying to reach her. Some tidbits from the commercials in the show: -The red beeping light of the toaster, came from Wanda's memory of the beeping light on the bomb that nearly killed them. -The face of the fancy watch had the Hydra octopus logo on it. -Hydra soak, came from her memory of Hydra. -Lagos Paper towel - From Civil Way when Wanda accidentally blew up the side of a building killing multiple civilians. "For when you make a mess and didn't mean to." -The pharmacist was originally supposed to be a cameo by Dr. Strange. In Marvel, The Scarlet With is a Nexus being. All the commercials were pulled from Wanda's memories. The shows episodes were setup like sitcoms across the decades. The early ones were from the tapes of sitcoms she used to grow up watching. It was her happy memories and when she could forget everything going on in her world around her. Here are the shows that each episode of WandaVision took inspiration from: Episode 1: The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver Episode 2: Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie Episode 34/: The Brady Bunch, The Patridge Fmaily, The Mary Tyler Moore Show Episode 5: Full House, Growing Pains, Family Ties, Step by Step Episode 6: Malcolm in the Middle Episode 7: Modern Family, The Office Episode 8/9: None since Wanda grasp on her surroundings are falling apart as she comes to grips with her truth and dealing with reality.
