Confirmed by creator Vince Gilligan, the colors used in Breaking Bad hold significant meaning. The use of pink in this series seems to indicate naivety, innocence, and almost always connected to a tragic moment. In the scene where Walter hired the cleaning ladies, he was wearing pink and in the next scene we see his daughter with pink. The cleaning ladies themselves were wearing pink masks. Walt was extremely naive to the fact those cleaning ladies were going to be "sent away" (more than likely killed) because they witnessed the lab. The cleaning ladies themselves were naive to why they weren't supposed to go to that area in the first place and were innocent of the eventual outcome. Holly is shown in pink all the time and it seems when she's featured in an episode something bad is happening. Similarly, the stuffed bear from the plane accident is pink as well.
The color stuff really stood out in this episode.
