2023-05-04 12:51:11 +0000 UTCThe writers strike in 2008 led the first season of Breaking Bad to be two episodes shorter and kept Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) alive. The show had awesome ratings at the time it aired but due to hollywood drama it kept getting potentially cancelled, so the writers of the show started "painting themselves into corners" in terms of the story each season/episode, because they never knew if they'd get to do more, and wanted to go out on a gangster note lol. Farscape (a scifi show) was the same way!
