2023-05-04 20:46:45 +0000 UTCNot sure what you're watching Sunny on, but I'm glad you actually saw Episode 3, because that's one of the now 'infamous' banned episodes from most streaming services. All because of Martina Martinez. The whole idea of the show is The Gang are literally the worst people alive. Part of the joke with Martina Martinez is that Dee doesn't have any idea why anyone would find it offensive. The weird part about the 'outrage' over this episode that wound up getting it banned from most streaming services; no one cared until a couple years ago. This episode existed for 10+ years without anyone caring. Then all of a sudden, people needed a new thing to complain about, so Sunny became the target. Oh, and 'Why did they play the Christmas music?!'... well, they used that music from The Nutcracker because it's public domain music, meaning they didn't have to pay for it haha. They needed free music that sounded like sinister plotting, and just just works lol. This was still at a point where the show was being made on the cheaper end of things, but thats also kinda whats fun about it. And while theres obviously plenty of scripted acting... when you watch them interact with each other on the podcast, it's clear they all share a little something with their characters lol. But it's also clear they really are friends. Plenty of stories of times when they were living on each others couches, shit like that. You gotta wait until you're caught up with the live show because the give spoilers throughout, but I really hope you check out the Always Sunny Podcast down the road.
