2023-05-28 22:22:36 +0000 UTCI've heard multiple reasons for the order and the one that always made more sense to me was that the studio didn't want to fund a 6 movie arc so they made Lucas use the best part, the last half of the 6. Lucas supposedly had the rough outline written way back then for 1-6 but only developed 4-6 then.

2023-05-22 02:08:12 +0000 UTCSo George Lucas actually had all 6 movies planned from the start, but he decided they didn’t have the proper technology to show the world of coruscant and such in the right ways. If you really want more story of Anakin and the world between Episode II and Episode III, watch the clone wars. It really fleshes anakin out more and introduces a fan favorite character you’ll see in other Star Wars media too. Love the reactions!
