The fact that Frank was in a Mental Hospital in that episode was a spoof on how he was in the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Also, the car trunk shots are an homage to 'Reservoir Dogs'. For episode 10 "Sweet Dee Has A Heart Attack": react to 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest', amazing film and there's a young Danny DeVito. HIGHLY recommend. And also 'A Beautiful Mind' and 'The Secret of My Success' for the Mac n Charlie part of the story. Both are great. Love you, Leo! Keep up the good work!
