2025-03-12 22:23:33 +0000 UTCI liked Wakanda Forever MUCH more than Black Panther. BP was a bottom 5 MCU movie for me, while BP2 is definitely a top 10 MCU movie. It flowed better, had a better storyline, had a better villain, much better music, and had way more emotional scenes throughout. I'm not sure why so many people disliked it either. But that's the beauty of movies...it's all subjective.

2023-11-23 16:09:03 +0000 UTCThese marvel movies don’t suck, people just try to hold them to end game standards which is impossible since that’s year upon years of growth and it’s hard to accept that we are now beginning a new round of build up, instead of giving the new phases time to build and grow they just hate on them. This was a phenomenal movie for what it had to do, help us all grieve as well as push the story forward, all these scenes of Shuri grieving are for us, we grieve with her, it’s powerful stuff.

2023-11-23 09:01:07 +0000 UTCTrevor Noah did the voice for the AI for Shuri. They had to address Chadwick's death it in the movie. People would have been more upset if they didn't. IMO (and many others) they handled it just right. Nobody knew he was sick while filming all of these movies. His cause of death was a mystery (to nearly everyone), just like in the movie. She didn't stand up to the government, she stood up to MULTIPLE governments. The Talokans at he beginning were performing like sirens (creatures similar to mermaids). They would sing to lure sailors to their deaths. Namor was the first mutant in Marvel comics. 2nd one in the MCU. The battle/flooding of Wakanda came from similar events in the comics. Shuri became the Black Panther in the comics, so they are still following some of the storylines. By this way they can also still continue BP projects. Especially with his son. Riri Williams has become the character Iron Heart with that suit. Notice she knocked out a heart shape from a sheet of iron.

2023-11-20 20:20:21 +0000 UTCDid you know the director said the original story was supposed to be T’Challa coming back from the Thanos Snap 🫰 years later to discover he had a son and Nakia got married to someone else. So they had to co-parent and he was going to bring his son to Wakanda for the 1st time. Man I wish we could’ve seen that vision come to life on screen for so many reasons. Maybe they can do an animated version with the original script just so ppl can see the BP2 story the way it was meant to be.

I don't like the serious stuff in this film was hijacked by studio heads trying to push the next thing. The weight of T'Challa and his mother dying is worth more than a generic water battle at the end. In comparison the fight between Steve Rogers and Bucky in "Captain America: Winter Soldier" had a lot of CGI but nobody cared because the storytelling and emotional weight of that scene took center stage. It wasn't just a generic MCU fight despite having a lot of generic MCU elements nor was it a fight to set up for the next film. Edit: I really disliked Queen Ramonda dying is treated as "well..she died" and is a plot C thing.

You only really need to watch the first "Rocky" (but watching to 4 is best). It's my favourite or second favourite (after the first) of the Rocky movies.
