For real man. I've been following Leo for years now and sure I'm not a fan or every movie or show he's done. For example I'm not really a Sunny in Philly fan but I know that alot of people love it, my childhood best friend included. So I'd be rude af to start trashing Leo for focusing on it when he clearly enjoys it. I just watch other stuff he's got and I'm happy. Leo, I've always had your back and will continue to do so. Will be a great reaction! The sequel has the best CGI/visual effects of all time! - "Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015) - one of the best action movies ever! The stunt and chases are unreal - "Inception" (2010) - great premise, great cast, great action! - "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" (2011) - start of a great big budget trilogy - "Casino Royale" (2006) - First of the modern James Bond films and its great These movies will still give you the large scale and action of MCU and comic book movies but gives you a different story and world to get into. I don't think any of these will disappoint! The first 4 were nominated for a lot of Oscars including Best Movie

As far as I am concerned, you do not need to watch any MCU to understand X-men. X-men predates the idea of what we call the MCU. I grew up watching the X-men movies and never missed out on something MCU-oriented. If anything, you should watch X-men before you watch Deadpool to understand some context clues. The two universes don't cross except very small parts in Origins and Deadpool.

X-Men may not be MCU but they’re pulling characters from it for the new multiverse thing they got going on. It doesn’t affect the current MCU story though. It’s confusing af for people just getting into it. They’re also pulling from the Netflix Marvel shows, well only Daredevil so far. (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Ironfist, The Defenders, The Punisher). It was always MCU, but now it’s official. Logan is a great standalone X-Men film, has nothing to do with MCU. I would fucking hate to become a new MCU fan with this confusing approach

At the point that you’re at now, you can pretty much watch the other stuff with no problem since you’re mostly if not caught up with the main MCU. I would try to get through X-Men if I was in your shoes because they are adding them into the MCU and the movies are amazing anyway. I would say in my opinion the best side of marvel and my consistent favorites of all Marvel movies had to do with Mutants in the X-men universe. There are people who would probably say that some are more worth watching over others but in my opinion, they’re all at least worth 1 watch through. Also yes everyone I also include and mean Dark Phoenix also even though I agree that it was more on the meh side.

By the way, the easiest way to determine what is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and what isn't is to look for the Marvel Studios logo at the beginning of the movie. If it has the Marvel Studios logo, it is connected to the MCU. If it only says "Marvel" and not "Marvel Studios," it is not connected and is not part of the MCU. I hope this helps. I know it can be a bit confusing if you're not paying attention to these details.

X men movies are amazing, think of it like the spiderman movies.. everything marvel is open to some sort of cross-over with the multiverse. Others will be more direct, some will be in direct. It's up to you how much you want to immerse yourself in every reference or story thread :) Either way we'll be here for the good and the bad so I say go for it all brother

Marvel comics sold the movie rights to X-Men to Fox in the 90s. That's why they are not connected. But Disney bought Fox a few years ago and are slowly working the X-Men into the MCU. But you can start watching them now before you finish the MCU

X-Men movies are made by Fox because Marvel sold them the movie rights back when they were going bankrupt. But now that Disney bought Fox, X-Men can now be used by Marvel Studio again. Now X-Men is getting a reboot in Marvel Studios for MCU but that’s down the road. P.S my favorite X-Men movies are First Class, Days of Future Pass, and Logan. I recommend you watch Wolverine: Origins before Logan

Lol! X-Men were Marvel Comics, but those films way preceded the MCU. They were made by another studio before MCU. So there is some overlap but they’re not in the MCU per se.
