Dev Log #50 - Fifty? Already?!
Added 2023-09-29 22:00:03 +0000 UTCHey all! Welcome to the fiftieth weekly dev log! It's hard for me to believe that I've been posting every week for the last 50 or so weeks (much more if I counted the development time before the Prologue's release!).
I remember my first few dev logs were just small little updates of me just writing out everything that needed to be done in point form. It was really just an outlet for me to keep myself accountable (since I was basically posting to nobody) and to ensure that the Prologue's release was 'on track', even though nobody back then was even expecting or knowing about its existence! But here we are, almost a year in, and with the support from so many of you (which I'm always thankful for!), I'm sure there'll be many, many more dev logs to go!
Alright, back to our regularly scheduled updates!
Back to business
The development of Day 3 is currently underway, with specific events and their sequences being finalized and initial rendering has begun.
As mentioned previously, I'll be trying to keep the development of Days 3 and 4 slightly more compact than Days 1 and 2. With Day 1's content bulk being just from the free-roam and Day 2 having almost every scene presenting at least two variations depending on your previous choices, I think this change of pace in Days 3 and 4 will help me to re-focus and direct the episode to its eventual conclusion in Day 5 and beyond.
For Day 3, I will be experimenting with a highly requested type of vore (from polls) that hasn't been seen yet in previous releases and adding it as an ending if all goes well! Fingers crossed!
In terms of rendering, Day 2 renders are currently starting to cap off and it is nearly at the 700-render mark, given its wide variation within the scenes presented as mentioned above! Day 3 renders are also in the queue behind them!
The game is also slowly being built up as the renders come flooding in, and the pace will only pick up as September comes to an end!
What's on the horizon for October?
October is shaping up a full month of development, with this last week of September alone adding another 281 renders to the total render count. I plan to keep up this pace of development (alongside the dialogue writing and game coding).
I aim to be 80% dev-complete with the game by the end of October, with the remaining 20% for the first half of November 2023, which also includes the game polish, journal entries, mystery tidbits, and all the usual good stuff you have all seen in and around the game!

Story: 95% done. No change.
Renders: 35% done. 281 new renders (as of me writing this post) with Day 3 renders in the queue. Up 5% from last week. The total render count sits at 1286 renders.
Dialogue: 37.5% done. Polishing dialogue for the multi-scene and initial drafting of Day 3 scenes. Up 2.5% from last week.
Gameplay: 25% done. No change.
