Dev Log #51 - Small hiccup and an important announcement!

Hi all! Welcome back to yet another installment of development updates! Let's get stuck in!

Electrical maintenance (and nuisance)
It was a pretty typical week until just this morning when my home's electricity was cut off for maintenance throughout the entire day (it came back on about 4 hours ago). Needless to say, there isn't much I can do about it in terms of it happening and in terms of doing any sort of render work or game development.

A small hiccup and a loss of half a day's worth of renders but it isn't something overly worrying (the 80 scenes in the queue have been promptly started after the maintenance ended)!

Development update!
Development-wise, I'm currently around the 3/4 mark of Day 3, with the above-mentioned 80 scenes currently in the queue. I intend to finish up Day 3 by the end of this week and promptly start on the rendering of Day 4 by the beginning of next week!

Story-wise, I have had a flash of inspiration that will tie the entire ending of the episode together (i.e. Days 6 and 7). Of course, this is a work-in-progress but I would say it is a positive and healthy iteration of the structure from before and I will share more on it once the development of the last few days of the episode is upon us, so stay tuned!

Game-wise, it is currently done up to Day 2, and I will start to stitch the images and dialogue together for Day 3!

In terms of free-roams, I still intend to develop the "full-length" free-roam as well as the "short-length" free-roam, with the "medium-length" free-roam already completed on Day 1. Although I'm definitely strapped for time, I still believe that the inclusion of these free-roams is important to ensure the completeness of Episode 2, and will continue to work towards making it a successful follow-up to Episode 1!

Of course, words are words, and I look forward to showing everyone more very, very soon!

Some real-life updates (announcement!)
As you all know, Cara in Creekmaw is a game that I am developing alongside a full-time job. Needless to say, there are some good days where I feel development is going steady and with not many interruptions from my job and there are... not-so-good days.

I'll be plain and simple about it: it is something that takes a heavy mental toll on me from time to time, but I think having these weekly updates really helps me to keep a sense of direction and flow in that I'm always making sure that progress is made, big or small. And that is thanks to everyone who has supported me along the way all the way up to this very dev log.

I think the point I'm trying to make here is: I will be resigning from my full-time job very soon to commit myself fully to the game's development.

Cara in Creekmaw was developed initially to fill a niche; a niche that I felt was missing at the time and that was a 3D-render vore visual novel and horse vore. It started as a story that I drafted and re-drafted almost four times over before deciding on this premise, and it was a game I was almost too afraid to upload which almost resulted in me deleting the entire prologue and concluding on my interesting 'pet' project. I'm glad I never did that.

I could never imagine the growth the game would see over the last 11, soon to be 12, months and it is honestly thanks to everyone here who has given me confidence through your support of Cara in Creekmaw, be it on SubscribeStar or Patreon; I'm thankful for all of it.

I intend to see the entire development of Cara in Creekmaw through and I intend to build more vore-focused games in the future.

Stay safe and I'll see you soon,
Ariaspoaa
