Dev Log #63 - A small detour for the week!

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing well! Welcome to another week of development updates, let's get right into this one!

Small detours
The week has been a mixed bag of jumping between story writing and walkthrough development, resulting in slightly slowed rendering and dialogue development! I had some writer's block on how some scenes will be presented and their order of presentation for E2:E but I have a hold on it now and will be picking up the slack moving forward!

How the twins' story in E2:E slots into E2
The story of the twins will be available via a new main menu button titled "Side Stories" (i.e. the same menu screen where you start a new game or view the replays).

Initially, I intended to weave their story together with the main episode but figured that it would ultimately confuse anybody who may be going through the episode for the first time and having to switch between perspectives, or for you guys who might find the new integrated twins scenes disruptive in terms of story flow. Of course, for certain "mainline" choices that may have an impact on the twins, these will be taken into full consideration as well, so no worries there!

What to expect in the following week and till the end of January!
An added feature will be coming for Hotfix 6 of Episode 2: which is the replay unlocker!

A quality-of-life feature more than anything, this will allow you to quickly unlock every scene (new and old) armed with just a single passcode! Of course, this is mainly for those who may not have the time to spend sifting through the many lines of dialogue just to find the last remaining scene that is buried deep inside the hoops of choices, and is a method of convenience more than anything!

Or maybe you could be switching devices and you dread the feeling of having to unlock everything again from the start, then the replay unlocker is for you!

On top of this, I will be posting my old person mono-- I mean retrospective of Episode 2, where I share some behind-the-scenes going-ons, some technical and some not-so-technical and the lessons I learnt moving forward. I'll probably look to catch up on my render work first before I write it up, but it will be no sooner than the end of January where it will be posted!

Custom renders are also being worked on for December/January, and will be available before the end of January!

------------------------------------------- E2:E PROGRESS BREAKDOWN -------------------------------
Story: 90% done. The order of the opening scenes is fixed, with the rest soon to follow as I plan to be done with this before the next dev log (i.e. 100% done). Up 10% from last week.

Renders: 25% done. 61 new renders for E2:E. Slowed as a result of other results and will be looking to pick up the slack. Up 5% from last week.

Dialogue: 20% done. Slice-of-life dialogue has begun and will continue to be written over the weekend. Up 5% from last week.

Game Playability: 0% done.
