Unfortunate circumstances

Hi all. Just a quick update regarding the Test Release. Unfortunately, I have been running into Google Drive cloud issues, which has caused nearly half of the renders for Episode 3 to either go missing or have trouble synchronizing to the cloud. I realized something was wrong as I was working on refining the scenes within the test release, noticing that some folders had fewer images than what I normally remember before I eventually caught on to the problem.

Despite my best efforts to quickly salvage what is left, the result is that I only managed to retrieve the other half which wasn't affected by this strange issue, along with a few hundred that were trying to synchronize to the cloud. To add to this, the images that are missing are seemingly random in nature and are not ordered. This means that a lot of the scenes present will have missing images as the player progresses through them, resulting in the test release becoming very much gimped.

The missing images that are from Episode 3 are in the ballpark of about 1,000 images all across different scenes and it's safe to say that I'm pretty demotivated about this being so close to the test release and subsequently having to be away after. Now that this issue has surfaced, all I can think of is going on the short trip feeling absolutely gutted.

In the few days I have before I leave for a week, I will be in contact with Google to try to recover the missing images and I'll update if there are any developments. I have tried various troubleshooting methods but to no avail. In the meantime, I will also take the time to collate what's missing and have them all queued up for re-rendering; this time to a local folder before anything bad can happen.

The goal here is that should there be no way to recover the lost files that I will be able to at least re-render all the missing images as I let my render workbench run without obstruction for the 7 days I'll be away. If all goes well, the Test Release will be able to be released in due time.
