Dev Log #113 - Full-on focus!

Hi all! Welcome back to another weekly dev log! Let's get into things!

Development update
Over the last week, I've been mainly doing up smaller scenes and implementing a mechanic that ties deeply into the visual novel aspect of the game, which will help open up a bigger variety of scenes across all playthroughs!

As of now, I'm still refining the mechanic and seeing what areas I can add them into without overly bloating the render count (i.e. too many variations in just one scene requiring multiple playthroughs) and keep things exciting (i.e. allocating it to a specific character opens up differing scenes in subsequent scenes involving the character)! I should have a sneak peek for this new mechanic in a few dev logs once things are finalized!

After these smaller scenes, I will be looking to pick up where I left off on the zoo scenes and continue developing the scenes that come after!

Overall, I'm glad that there's no pressure of delivering the monthly side stories, which, although good for regular content, have had the tendency to steer my focus away from the main episodic work. For now, I'm happy to have my full focus on the episode's development and still looking to deliver the monthly custom renders in a timely fashion!

On the polls front, there will be a new outfit poll this weekend, and the second (i.e. for another character) will be held the following weekend!

Story: 100% done. No change from last week.

Renders: 40% done. The total render count is 2,775, which is 176 more renders than last week. Up 2.5% from last week.

Dialogue: 52.5% done. General touch-ups and first-draft dialogue for a new day's scenes. Up 2.5% from last week.

Game Playability: 45% done. Continued efforts of stitching renders to dialogue. Up 5% from last week.
