Dev Log #115 - Delays expected!
Added 2025-03-28 22:00:10 +0000 UTCHi all! As can be gleaned from the title, there are a few unfortunate updates regarding the development. Let's get into it!
Development update
As development is still ongoing, I think it should be mentioned that an April early build release that was mentioned before will be delayed for one to two months, this puts the early build release sometime in the middle of this year.
Most of the delays stem from me trying to resolve specific story flow issues (while the story beats are 100% planned out, the scenes will have to align with all these beats in a reasonable way, this includes variations!).
Of course, this is news that I myself am disappointed to give as I understand the wait has been long for everyone and that the update speed is slower than previous episodic releases. However, long-time supporters will know that I'm not one to prop up a release that's happening "soon" or is "imminent" when I know it is not ready, as the last thing I want to do is eke out everyone's time and monetary contribution just because I keep saying "it's coming" when it's not!
With that said, I've been spending a good chunk of the week resolving a lot of hardware issues for my new workstation, and thankfully things have calmed down and I will be looking to pick up the pace and get things going, with custom renders soon to come but will probably be slightly delayed to the opening days of April (there goes my 2-month streak!).
----------------------------- EPISODE 3 WEEKLY BREAKDOWN --------------------
Story: 100% done. No change from last week.
Renders: 47.5% done. The total render count is 3,055, which is 133 more renders than last week. Up 2.5% from last week.
Dialogue: 52.5% done. No change from last week.
Game Playability: 45% done. No change from last week.
---------------------------------- END OF BREAKDOWN ---------------------------------
A little of a letdown in terms of dev logs to be sure, but I will be getting back to it and I will look to be back with more positive development updates! The only way is up!
Stay safe and healthy!

I agree with Jose the bitter truth is better then the sweet lie and as the saying goes Rome was not built in a day so keep up the good work
