Due to unexpected errors with my work PC, I’m stepping away from posting to run system checks and other tasks.

I’ll notify you with a new post once things are back to normal. The PC isn’t completely malfunctioning, so I should resume once the checks are finished.

For a while now, my PC has been making strange noises, which I figured was coil whine from the GPU. Earlier this week, the noise suddenly stopped, and I feared the worst—was my GPU dead?! Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.

However, I’m wondering if I should disassemble the GPU and reapply thermal paste, or if I should invest in a new one. The price for a new GPU is terrifying—enough to buy a whole new PC with money left over!

Even if I consider buying a new PC, there’s the Intel CPU rapid degradation issue right now, which makes it risky. Overseas, there are class-action lawsuits about this, but in Japan, even sellers seem unaware. PC specialty shops do seem to know, but they're selling problematic CPUs without any warnings. Scary stuff.

In any case, I’ll be performing basic virus scans and memory diagnostics before resuming. It should only take a few days, so please wait until I’m back.

作業用PCの予期せぬエラーにより、色々システムチェックなどで作業の手を取られるので投稿休みます。

再開は新たな投稿を持ってお知らせします。正常に動いていない訳ではないのでチェックが済み次第再開すると思います。

以前から、PCから異音がしていてそれがグラボのコイル鳴きだと分かったのですが、今週頭にそれが急に鳴り止んで「とうとう死んでしまったか？！」と思ったのですがそういう訳ではなかったようです。

もしかしたらグラボも分解してグリスアップしないといけないか？　そんなリスク犯すぐらなら新たなグラボ導入か？　そのグラボだけで今のPC買えておつりがくるという恐ろしい値段になっているので今すぐ解決できるようなものでもない。

PC自体買い替えると考えても、今現在intelCPUの爆速劣化問題があるので買い替えること自体リスクだったりする。海外では集団訴訟など起こっているらしいが日本では販売側すら知らないことが多いらしい。流石にPC専門店なら把握しているものの分かったうえで問題のCPUを何の注意書きも無く販売している模様。怖い怖い。

何せ基本的なウィルスチェックやらメモリ診断やらしてから再開します。数日でしょうが再開までお待ちを。
