Patreon Tutorial #57 - New Randomization Nodes & Altus-CLI *Available Dec. 4th*

Hey guys! This month's tutorial will cover a few new additions to Redshift 2025.2 and the Altus-CLI tool with Deadline to follow up on last month's Deadline tutorial. A lot of Redshift users are unaware of the Altus-CLI utility. This is the stand-alone command-line denoiser that is included with Redshift and can be run directly to process your noisy render output. I show you how it works, and how we can leverage it in Deadline to quickly narrow down some settings to enable optimal denoising for our particular render. This denoiser can be useful and includes temporal denoising, but a lot of its features are available only through the command-line tool.

Redshift has also added a few new features, in particular, my favorite new additions to Redshift 2025.2 are the new awesome randomization utility shaders. These shaders are going to be very useful for anyone looking to add variation and variety to their scenes, especially for large landscape environments. The Random Color Switch can be leveraged with just about any shader node, and the Random Shader Switch can be used to swap between full materials. I see myself using these new shaders often in the future. Thanks again guys for all the support and have a wonderful week!
