We're Days Away!

Hey everybody!

Outside of a few issues that QA found with internal testing that have been corrected and are awaiting review, it looks like the 0.7.0 Alpha is ready to be released.  We should finish up our testing most likely tomorrow, and from there we will start putting the build together!  We're super close!

In the meantime, I just wanted to share this image that shows the evolution of the Vickie Vixen model as she is being worked on by the new 3D Modeler we have on board the team!  Vickie is the first of many (and eventually all) models that will go through his hands for touch-ups and optimization.  This evolution shows the original Vickie model on the left (with comparable quality to all of the other models currently in game).  You can see going from left to right, the model is getting more and more detailed.  We'll also be adding a few more finishing touches on this model, so you are not seeing the finished product, and the final version won't make it to this Alpha, so you can expect more updates next version.  Stephanie and Madison's models are also undergoing this process, and eventually we'll get around to all of the characters in the game.

In addition to the aesthetics of the model, what you don't see under the hood, is that this model has greatly had its polygons reduced, and it has been merged together to only use one surface for the entire model.  This means huge performance enhancements.  Once all of the models undergo this process, We will essentially not be limited to how many characters we can add to the game, and overall performance should increase significantly.

This release will contain TONS of bug fixes, optimizations, brand new animations, three new characters, and will introduce the new Vickie Vixen story-line.  Though there isn't much story to her yet, you will get a preview of how the story will play out.  In the next couple of weeks, I will be focusing mostly on getting her story in place leading up to a second alpha version and eventually a Beta version.
