What's Next With House Party?

Bobby here.  I just wanted to give you guys a quick rundown on what's coming next with House Party.

In the next update, we'll be giving Ashley's story a complete makeover.  Ashley, Madison, Stephanie, and Brittney's stories were all written very early in House Party's development, which is why there isn't too much story to them, and why it's been limited what you can do with them.

We'll be enhancing Ashley's already existing story, and adding on some more depth to it, and a bigger over-arching path.

Alongside that however, we'll be re-shaping the mechanics of the core game.  The quests are fun, and in the short-term have served as a way of getting "endings" with all of the girls.  What we plan to do now that the game is more fleshed out is add a more organic element to the game.  The quests are going to be completely optional and will serve more as a fun story to play through, but we will be introducing a lot of new dialogue and action options with all of the characters that will allow you to build or break your relationship with them, and we will be basing the girls' decisions as to whether or not they'd like to hook up with the player more-so based on their like/love meters rather than what quests you've accomplished.

What this means to the player, is that just chatting up and performing actions that might woo over a particular girl in the game can grant you the same rewards as going through her quest-line.  This adds another dimension to House Party where you can just play the game in a completely different and more casual way, ignoring the quests, and just trying to get into the good graces of each character.

On the flip-side, you will also be able to completely trash your relationship with the girls and guys at the party.  Our goal is to also allow this to open up more paths for the player.  For instance, getting Ashley to hate you might open doors with Madison or vice verse since they are rivals.

We also plan to make the relationships flexible (to a point) meaning if you tank your relationship with somebody, you might be able to smooth-talk your way back from it.

We'll be revisiting all of the characters in this way.  We are just starting with Ashley.  We will be putting out a poll to our $20+ patron soon to see who will get the treatment next.
