Store Front Poll
Added 2020-06-12 02:13:22 +0000 UTCI am putting out a second poll specifically for store fronts. Be sure to vote on the first poll if you have not. I asked everyone to vote for their top 3, each poll should have almost 900 votes and we are nowhere near that.
Discord Update: I thought I had failed to set this up correctly and couldn't figure out what it was for exactly, turns out I did set it up and a couple dozen patrons were posting on there for 5 months, I had no idea!:0 Anyways here is the invite link https://discord.gg/H4KS77
In other news I am working on speed improvements to the website, download services, and website checkout. Some of that is in place now. Distribution is the place where we experience the most growing pains, I am honestly happy to have this issue be the worst of it. I think we might get all the way to the fast side of slow this time around. Let me know if it is still unbearable, an SSD site is about the only move I'll have left. However, I think the recent improvements will make it okay for my mom&pop shop set up. It's hard to know for sure till I do another kickstarter and try to push a few hundred people through it at one time.
The First Poll, store fronts aside, is well spread out among all the options. Over all there is most interests in ruins and then equal interest in palisade kitchen, goblin, elf, halfling, and raised coast housing. Siege equipment also has a strong showing. Overall there is notable interest in nearly all the options. I'll probably make some choices in a few days, there should be enough to give everyone an idea of what to expect for the next several months.
Anyways on to the store front poll
Note: For now i'm leaving off stores that need extra security built in, magic, potion, jewelry, stuff like that.

thank you for allowing us to select multiple options. this was a touch choice hahaha, all great ideas
2020-06-14 04:42:17 +0000 UTC2 stores that would be cool are the alchemy/potions like Brent mentioned, and a weapon-smith/armorer (as opposed to a generic blacksmith). Something else that would be neat is a livestock vendor with cages for chickens and pens for pigs and stuff.
2020-06-12 14:17:05 +0000 UTCPartly because the designs for some of that would be radically different than a lot of this stuff. I would probably do larger stone buildings to reflect the amount of money and security needs involved in that type of store. Also If I start with smaller ideas I can produce more assets that can go into detailing a larger building.
2020-06-12 12:18:58 +0000 UTCThe most useful shops to my mind would-be magic items, alchemy/potions, mayor/government, jail, bank, post office, blacksmith, general goods, food, generic/flexible. Any reason you skipped some of these in favor of more obscure things? The coffin guy could be useful for stories/mysteries. Library and scribe might be combined. My general strategy would be storefronts that could fill multiple roles and containers that can be filled.
