Floor Plan Poll and Early Temple Preview

We're doing a 3 day poll on floor plans for the first layer of the temple. I have a couple concept renders of the whole thing, as well as the part being released in August.

The roof is just blocked in, but will mix Cambodian and Mayan styles with a caved in area. The balconies will be dilapidated with entrances from the alter area

In August the middle 2 floors will come out. September will feature the bottom dungeon level and the roof and balcony area. The only thing that you will need to swap out for the transition is the top ring of rocks on the columns. So it will be really smooth with little waste to between the 2 sizes. You should be able to imagine areas where I'll allow different statues and ornaments to be plugged in.

Top Ten scatter results on the poll.

We did put rotting humans on twice but it was all double votes so I didn't combine results. I will weigh the result vs the speed I can get them done. I basically have to finish the temple 80% so it will be easier to do more complex scatter for September. I also have a alchemist/ summoning area that I did not put on the poll since it was in the works prior to the poll.

Anyways on to the floor plan poll. Options are partially determined by the reality of how we have to cut the model. Thanks for the input, we'll do another one for the very bottom floor later. "E" is the entrance area. It is about 270x300mm play area so all the rooms are decent size.

Thanks Ken that was cool. It makes more sense that people putting up big rocks to just catch rain and be a sun dial:)

Thought you all would like to see this in the UK Daily Mail on a Stonehenge theory. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9750957/Architects-concept-Stonehenge-rocks-base-Neolithic-temple-brought-life-models.html

Thanks for the comment skullian:)

Hi Alex, yeah "A" would be the best for an active temple with rooms and offices below. I'm guessing most folks must be thinking "mini-tomb" crawl instead of active temple. if it is split maybe I'll do a couple depending on how long the processing takes after the walls get cut.

Agreed. Layout A would be appropriate for a temple where the priests would need to cleanse before entering the inner sanctuary. Layouts B is more like barracks or modern apartment layouts and wouldn't lend itself to a sacred space (unless these were prayer rooms for monks or similar). That would mean the main sanctuary is underneath or on an upper level. Layout C might work for an abbey where the main room is for the monks to congregate and still have private quarters around the perimeter. Layout D would work for a public sanctuary where all are welcome. The priest's office/quarters would be in the back and the other room would be for ministry supplies. Wide open is simplest to implement and the user would need to improvise based on what their game needs. Hope that helps.

Alex A

Reason I'm saying A is the begining room wood be a welcome staging area, cleanse yourself before entering. After that I would say worship area and on our own we could put columns altars etc. Thats what I'm thinking out loud.
