The Game Plan (September 2019 Update #1)

James: In the interest of transparency, I thought I'd take a moment and lay out my strategy for story releases going forward and how it relates to this Patreon. I've been mulling it over since I started this endeavor a few months ago and I think I've finally come up with the optimum solution.

The guiding principle for this venture is that half of all the work I do going forward is for patrons only. My initial concept for how that would work was that I would make every other chapter in my new stories patrons-only. So, the odd chapters of Latex Futa Nuns would be free, the even ones would be patrons-only. However, this strategy showed its flaws very quickly. It works well for certain other formats (like podcasts) but not so much for written stories.

For one thing, a lot of free readers out there aren't going to bother reading a free chapter 3 if they haven't gotten to read chapter 2 yet and that may kill their interest in one of my new stories early. For another, websites like Literotica have certain rules and they will not allow me to publish chapter 3 of a story without posting the full chapter 2 first. (I wish I could ignore Literotica, but my stories get the most views on their site by far.)

So, how to navigate this? Here's what I've come up with. Chapter 2 was patrons-only. Chapter 3 will be patrons-only. Chapter 4 will be patrons-only. But, at that point when I publish Chapter 4, Chapter 2 will become unlocked for free readers. Likewise, when I get to Chapter 6, Chapter 3 will become unlocked for free readers. This will continue until the story is done. If, for example, Latex Futa Nuns ends up being twelve chapters, the first six will eventually be available to free readers. Anyone who wants to read the rest needs to sign up!

This means that my patrons get temporary exclusive access to early chapters and permanent exclusive access to later chapters. I feel this strategy will 1) be fair to the free readers 2) deliver excellent value to the patrons and 3) be the best way to grow this Patreon over time, which equates to me writing even more content for you. :)

I should also mention that I may, at some point in the distant future, publish my stories in full e-book format. That will be the cheapest way for people to read my full stories (if they don't mind waiting years.) That's purely hypothetical though and given how Amazon has recently begun to crack down on erotic fiction in a very random and inconsistent way, I have no idea how viable that will actually be.
