Book of Shadows: Paradise Lust (Cropped preview)
Added 2023-10-03 15:39:24 +0000 UTCI was invited to be part of the second volume of Book of Shadows, an erotica artbook featuring supernatual beings. Their previous volume, Buffomet, which focused on demons, is heavily kinky and queer- so I knew immediately I wanted to join in on this one that was taking a spin at angels!
The full illustration is inspired by my heritage of Jewish mythology and features four angels, each corresponding to one of the four orders of angels mentioned in the Book of Zohar- Din דִּין , Refuah רְפוּאָה , Chabalah חַבָּלָה , Chesed חֶסֶד . (Judgement, Healing, Sabotage, Mercy). I imagine the angels bound by holy rope and steel to contain their otherwise destructive power, leaving them just free enough to perform their designated duty.
