If your game crashes during the city scene

 We've received several reports from people playing in Japanese that their game crashes during the city scene where you encounter NPCs, 

but we haven't yet received any such reports from people playing in English.

 If you're playing the game in English (or any language other than Japanese) and you have experienced a similar issue at some point, 

it would help us if you would let us know.

Does Ver0.551 crash as well? If so, then it might be a memory issue, so it would help us a lot if you would tell us if there's a significant increase in memory usage when you reach that scene (you can check through Task Manager).

English version here. It crashes when the player character gets to the group of people some few seconds after the character arrives.

There wasn't anything wrong with it on our PCs too. It doesn't seem to be a spec issue though.

I guess a lot of issues start happening when multiple characters appear on screen...

Yes, that scene does seem to cause a huge spike in memory. It's hard to say for sure whether or not that's the reason for the crashes, but we'll look into it some more. Thank you.

It's definitely an issue with the game. That said, we didn't notice anything on our own PCs for whatever reason.

I see. Thanks for the detailed advice. It's true that the scene in general is heavy, especially when other characters are on screen, but we suspect there's another cause for the severe slowdowns and crashes. We'll look into the particle effects too.

We believe the issue with the mark is caused by a framerate drop. We're currently looking for a way to fix it.

the English version crashed for me i think its a memory leak issue

Nothing wrong in the English version, everything runs smooth. It just laggs a little in the city part.

it happened to me once on english when i ran up to the girl by herself.

During the city scene, RAM memory used by the game increases from 1.7 Gb to 3.6/3.7 Gb in 2 or 3 minutes, then the game crash.

The crashing did happen to me. I thought it was just a personal computer issue but it seems not.

After I restarted the game and played through this scene again, I took my time waiting for the text prompts, and there was no crash that time.

I've had the game crash for the first time ever in this latest version. I was playing in English. When I ran to the group of survivors, I quickly ran up and pressed my controller to go past the text prompts (maybe too fast) and the game crashed.

First off, thank you for this update and for eveything you've done so far with the game, I'm really sorry to hear what will happen of the entire project. I'm hoping everything works out for both of you. I play the game in english and I've had this crash issue in the new scene in the city, starting with slowdowns getting gradually bigger as the scene goes, making the UI glitch and ultimately ending with the crash. I was able to avoid the issue by looking up during most of the scene and avoiding to look at the other townspeople(looking at Chieri the entire scene) and speeding up through the text. My best guess is that the engine's having a hard time handling multiple models at once. Either that or it can't handle the smoke and particle effects properly. Again thanks for everything you've done with the game so far.

I did not encounter this issue but I did have a problem at the start of the hide behind the car scene where when she starts walking the very first mark to walk to disappears. I was able to fix it by restarting the game thankfully but I thought I would let you know
