Patreon exists so that creative people can have financial breathing room and a way to communicate with their most dedicated fans. Notice you do not need to actually contribute to reap the benefit of the output. I don't know of any "con" that gives you the goods without paying. I honestly find this kind of posting very rude, and maybe the better way would be to quietly remove your patreon contribution until you are satisfied with results again. This is the only project like this on the entire internet.

2024-08-07 10:56:40 +0000 UTCWhat "heaps" of effort? In the past when it was being worked on we'd get incremental updates adding new short chapters, and even those were months apart. Once they cited making a new water shader as a reason for delay, when you can do that in Unreal or Unity in a matter of minutes. Seems like they gave up ages ago and are just dropping Unity screenshots to keep people donating. Unless they dropped a new update that doubled the amount of chapters and gameplay time theres no reasonably excuse for the time past with zero real updates
