SUMMONER’S TWIST - Page 3

(Experimenting with adding a little bit of manga style halftone here and there. Trying to just use it very minimally. Let me know what you think. Does it add anything or is it just distracting? ^u^)

This little Corgi has a secret. She’s been an avid student of magic for years, reading up on many of the old books carried by this very library. She’s always seen one particularly interesting book of magic in their system but could never find where it was. Turns out she could blame her small stature for that oversight.

She excitedly pushes the ferret boy down the hall, past the bathrooms into a darkened corner of the library where she’s sure they’ll be *mostly* alone. With a snap of her finger she speaks the incantation and POOF-

I think now we know why she found this particular book so interesting...

Haha I guess the tones carry alot of visual interest and kinda draw your eye. I'll have to keep that in mind!

The only problem with the halftone was that my brain kept reading the bottom half of the page backwards. But yes, totally keep it. Your inked pages benefit greatly from the little bit of shading.

Heheh poor big dragbun just wanted a book! X3 Definitely let me know what you think as the pages go forward I'd love to get some input on it ^^

Ah I'm glad to hear that! If such a small addition can make things easier on the reader than I'm certainly all for it too ^^

Absolutely keep the half-manga style. In the more complex setpieces and panels you've put out it can sometimes get hard to parse out what's what on all flat colors, so having the gradient there is immensely useful for determining what is what and where it is depth-wise.

A+ Krispy squashed in aisle. I like the layout and the more Manga feel of it is fine so far! I'd have to see the whole thing to judge, but mixing things up is usually good.
