Happy Autumn, everyone!

I added some sketches to the Dropbox over the last week, but I'll add a few more tonight and update the log (I'm notoriously bad about remembering to update that, oops).

I've been sketching a lot on paper lately, which is great! ... except that I have no easy way to share those. I fell out of the habit for a long time, but recently unpacking boxes of old sketchbooks over the years made me nostalgic.

The nice thing about drawing on a tablet is that I can add color and clean up sketches; but the nice thing about sketching on paper is how easy it is to quickly sketch an idea and keep going. I even prefer sketching with pens so I can't get caught up on trying to fix errors in pencil. Usually it's just practicing character designs or expressions while I have the tablet away or while waiting for things to load on my computer. I used to sketch a lot during cutscenes in video games, so much so that I used to fill out entire sketchbooks front to back. The last time I did that was when I was still playing Skyrim and sitting through its ten minute loading screens, lol. I'll have to get another scanner in the near future so I can share what I have on paper, but in the meantime I do have some things I've been sketching on the tablet to share!

Starting with this page— I had so much fun with this one. I thought I'd share the sketch for it and the alternative outfit/hairstyle for Fiona that I was toying around with. I ultimately scrapped it and went with my original sketch because the comfy mom look wasn't the right vibe for her (and I was intentionally wanting a nod to the original page 10♥).
