[LIFT Update] Chapter 1, Page 21

Here's a little dash of more introduction! Most of this will come up in the comic in the next chapter, but none of it is spoilers so much as it is the slowness of webcomics to deliver major exposition in such a small amount of real estate. ♥ As I write this up here, I'll start adapting it for the cast page, too.

Jack (overalls girl) and Ernest (temporary pizza delivery boy) are first cousins and best friends. Their mothers are sisters - identical twins, in fact - and they've ended up growing up looking very alike themselves. Jack and Ernest went to elementary and high school together, still live in the same small town, and have been best friends all their lives. Their friends in school often called them twins, too, for how alike they are.

Felix (bear-hugging ginger) went to high school with them, too - though Felix transferred in as a sophomore from out of state. Jack hated Felix at first, chalking him up at first to being an unfamiliar, meat-headed jock. When Felix started flirting with Ernest, she nearly killed him to protect her cousin's honor.

After years of living next door to each other (and Felix being on his best behavior, turning out to be a pretty nice guy (and good cook)), Jack reluctantly guesses she can call him a friend.

And Ernest enthusiastically calls Felix his boyfriend. ♥
