Some quick stats

The above image shows the number of visits THP got over the last week. The automatic color shading isn't very helpful, but what it shows is that about half of THP's visits come for the USA alone, with a total of roughly 58% coming from North America. Note that this isn't the number of unique visitors, just the number of times people tried accessing the site.

Below you can see some of the data for the same period with Europe-only numbers:

There's a few quick thoughts I have on some of the recent stats that I'd like to share:

1) It's no surprise that the majority of traffic comes from the USA and then other English-speaking countries such as Canada, the UK and Australia.

2) There's also traffic from places like Brazil, Japan, China, the Philippines and non-english European countries that's not nothing. While not on the same level as the US, it shows a cross section broader than you'd think an English-language fanfiction website might get. 

3) A lot of that traffic (around 18%) came from non-desktop/laptop devices. This is part of the reason I'm taking a while to improve the mobile view as it feels like it needs to be done properly and that involves a lot of backend changes.

4) Too much of the traffic, around 30something-40% then "bounces". This is to say that people visit only one page and don't go anywhere else. For the site to prosper something needs to be done to get the attention of people and get them to post or simply just look around the rest of the site. Since the content depends on the user community, I don't think there's much I can directly do. Wasting money on advertisement without having something for people come back looking for and engage in is pointless. I'm open to suggestions on this, however, as always.

5) Some of the places that show up in that image are bots or proxies, some (but probably not that much) of the location and visit data will be distorted. 

6) Sadly, we've yet to conquer Sub-Saharan Africa and places like Paraguay, natural bastions of 2hu fandom.

7) Even more tragically, no one uses the thp.moe domain to access the site. It's pretty much just me and one or two other people.
