That's a very in-depth answer actually, and I thank you for taking the time at all. It illuminated another factor I hadn't considered, which is how different ranks are treated in different clans to begin with, and how that's probably a much more important variable. Thank you!

2021-10-17 22:05:06 +0000 UTCI will admit, I didn't put that much thought into it outside of Taliba- and they are the only non-cis character that appears in this story. The rest of the yeens just do what yeens do. But it works out for them since aside from Uzuri being the head hancho of the clan- it's pretty much just a small clan of very close lovers with no real emphasis on ranks so how Taliba is treated in their clan doesn't really change. How they might be treated if they were part of another clan? Sadly I couldn't tell you because that is not something I thought about. I apologize if this wasn't a good answer.

Assigned males are treated more poorly, but if one of them came out as female or bonbinary, does their pack not only accept them, but change their place in the hierarchy? I guess what im most curious about is if the hyenas in this world focus on and make their hierarchal decisions on sex or gender specifically
