Ice spider creature from the mandalorian S2

Update 10 (09JAN2021) - Quick turn for the Krynak spider eggs options, hope to goes well with your scene set up as bonus items :) cheers

Update 09 (06JAN2021) - so I uploaded a copy of the solid spider body to the share driver for using it on a smaller spiders prints now, also include a set of my V2 pegs & pivot see if that works for you guys.

Update 08 (04JAN2021) - guys the print result is good on mono X, but I will need to tweak the pegs and pivot a bit to make it insert easier (previously tested on Photon S only). You guys can print the body/ thighs/ and legs for sure but leave the pegs/ pivots last to print, let me do another round of tweaks and test run here.

Update 07 (04JAN2021) - Layout all legs in one print for Saturn/ Mono X size printers, I will post the result when done and uploading to the same spider older that I just sent :D

Update 06 (03JAN2021) - Here with the test result for spider body, everything turn out well, I just need to add some supports to hold the print better then I send out email for this month real soon! Thank you for the wait my friends ;)

Update 05 (30DEC2020) - testing the first set of leg with mixed resin, 70% anycubic grey + 30% TPU shore 80A resin. See the result tomorrow again :)

Update 04 (30DEC2020) - I start testing TPU resin for articulations, now is 100% fabbxible shore 80A, deformable and restorable. I think I can use 30% TPU +Standard grey that I have for body/ legs see how it goes.

Update 03 (29DEC2020) - WooHoo! I have the pegs and pivot done for legs now! Can wait to test this now~~ we really have awesome members here to provide all the possibility and options. So cool you guys!

Update 02 (29DEC2020) - Here with legs sculpted! I’m going to have the pegs/ pivot design inserting to this model next and probably think of another option for semi rigid resin printing since we are now practicing mixing of flexible/ standard resin for articulations :)

Update 01 (26DEC2020) - started to sculpt this creatures for 1/12 scale black series size with articulations, next will sculpt the legs and some movement chec before finalize the figure. Estimate crouching heights like this about 12cm-13cm, as I don’t want to make it very large model to print at this stage ;)

I'm going to do some free-form sculpt to the base model and then checking the articulation see if it's enough tolerance. Existing plan is to at least have 2 sections articulations for each leg so they post better in the result. I will keep you guys posted for progress :)

Yes Mike, I’m still using 30/70 resin for all and the drop test work very good.

Do you still recommend printing the legs 70/30% standard/flex resin? Or is that mix only for the pegs/pivots?

Mogo

You mean FDM filament? actually just need to print 2 section of this pegs in TPU and then the rest of part could do in hard resin.

Can't wait to print this 😁. How do you think this will function with a non-flexible filament like ABS?

Glad you like it ;)
