VOTE: What to play in October? **closed**
Added 2021-09-19 21:58:41 +0000 UTCIt looks like Portal 2 is the winner for the next bonus playthrough! I look forward to getting started recording that this next week. But now I need y'all to help me decide something else: what to play in October after Psychonauts 2 is done?
Some of you will recall that last October I did a sort of Halloween game "sampler pack", playing a handful of spooky-adjacent games for 1 week each. It was fun, but it also resulted in us leaving a bunch of great games unfinished, which some (understandably) found frustrating. So I'm thinking this year maybe we should go back and finish one of them? Or alternatively, we could just skip all that and jump right into Nier Automata, which has been waiting patiently in the wings!
Which would you prefer? Should we finish Luigi's Mansion 3? Should we finish Darkest Dungeon (or at least try to)? Or should we hurry up and get to Nier Automata?

When the game was coming out Valve had a competition for people to make a music video to the song that also told the story of the Aperture Labs scientist who painted all the signs and graffiti and what he was doing between Portal 1 and 2. If you ever wanna check them out, these two are the best ones, I think: https://youtu.be/reCp31Mj2G0 - more abstract and impressionistic, but gorgeously animated with some fun rotoscoping https://youtu.be/XUwkGFw226U - more literal to the comic and a little rough, but it’s also stop-motion animated, which is an impressive feat all its own
