what is with the colour purple and chains anyway

Just a pretty rough sketch, nothing particularly fancy. I haven't drawn a good Amaranth in quite some time.

I've been bored with art lately. I've gotten into some bad habits as far as productivity goes, and now I seldom work on things that exercise my creative abilities. I want to get out of the habit of drawing boring stuff and then uploading "yet another simple pinup of a character standing."

Whether that means spending time actually practicing on weak points of mine, experimenting more with poses and compositions, or taking some time to work on more impressive works of art, it's something I'll have to give some thought to.

If I plan to work on more dynamic illustrations & projects regularly (which take up more time), then I might need to create a backlog of sketches to make sharing throughout the week easier, because I don't really like missing a day (unless it's a weekend) when I'm all "HEY DAILY SKETCHES."

I want to have more fun with art.
