Summer's End

This is a piece I've wanted to do for maybe the entirety of this month, though I only began it yesterday - rather spontaneously too. I didn't expect it to be such a detailed illustration, but I wound up putting a lot of work into it, pretty much spending my night entirely on this. It's not a crazy amazing piece, but it's fairly developed compared to most of my recent work.

I think the hair turned out pretty adorable - it's the first time I've drawn her hair completely straight like that. I'm generally not a fan of my shading being completely soft like this, and my feelings haven't changed for this particular piece.

I don't know for certain that it's finished - works tend to look better than they actually are when you've been working really late. I plan to post it online later today, as a sort of 'goodbye' to the summer (yes I know it's not TECHNICALLY over) - so if I wind up editting it before then, that'll be uploaded here, but if not -- here you go.
