Color Study 02
Added 2017-01-04 15:00:00 +0000 UTCHere's another set of colour studies, though I don't like them as much as the first one. I deviated from references quite a bit - the compositions are pretty weak because I was just using the colour palettes from other pictures.
My favourite is the second sample, though I'm very displeased with the tree. I feel the other two samples were way too muddy and uncreative.

2017-01-04 19:34:16 +0000 UTCI just don't like being mean, but I know I'm also rather blunt and that can come across as rude, so I tend to apologize when I can't think of a nicer way to say something. It's my way of saying "I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I have to be honest". I don't know if that's a bad habit or a good one :P

2017-01-04 18:57:25 +0000 UTCI think the second one looks best, and the third one looks pretty nice as well, but the first one sort of just looks like a bunch of large paint strokes vaguely in the shape of a forest. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh, I just want to be an honest critic.
