[Blog] Moving from 2023 into 2024
Added 2023-12-30 02:00:17 +0000 UTCPlans for 2024:
- Establish a greater presence on itch storefront (for passive income)
- Release Beaumont game (or make substantial progress, at least)
- Release Sketchie Book Brellom #4

In a nutshell, I want to create better and more meaningful artworks with the goal of making it feel as if I'm genuinely pushing the scope and technical execution of my work further than ever before. The daily grind that I've become known for since 2016 isn't helping that or bettering my health.
I've talked about needing to generate passive income in the past, but simply did not have time to do so. I hope that I can step back in the upcoming year and devote myself to such a goal.
I just want to create. I don't want to worry so much about the content grind until the day I die.

I have a few ideas for upcoming projects, but have not settled into anything specific yet. I'd like to release my first product in March or April so that I can reflect on this strategy early, to determine if this is a direction worth continuing.
Because I have yet to experience this new "content strategy," I do not yet know how many artworks will be reliably published on a monthly basis. However, in addition to our sketch collections, I'd like to create enough work to build upon these three cornerstones of content (as the bare minimum).
- At least 1 popular fan art for social media growth (i.e. "Hero" Content).
- A Female Link Illustration (an example of "Hub" Content).
- An illustration featuring the swirly kink (explicitly personal work; not funded by Pootreon).

Moving forward with the Concept Art reward, I'd probably like them to better resemble their original format (lengthy essays in which I walked you through my development process) - or preparation for upcoming projects. But that means they'll come out a bit slower (quality over quantity).
I'm going to spend a bit of time researching how to create more interesting artworks, as well as how to better prosper on social media by studying the performance of my previous work. Although I will be producing less, the impact of each piece should, hopefully, be as strong as possible. I hope this allows me to fulfill my social media responsibilities with less stress.
Anyway that's it for now. I'm going to start making the necessary actions once January starts. But things are going to be a bit slower so that I can breathe and make better artwork. I'll do my best to maintain contact via the Patreon Blog and with Works-in-Progress if it ever feels a little too slow.
Don't forget to eat & sleep.

2023-12-30 04:29:54 +0000 UTCI think you're going to do your best and make sure you stay healthy in the process! Also remember not to overexert yourself, especially if it's a drawing you don't like how it's turning out.
