Royal Knight Drone Link
Added 2018-03-21 11:36:58 +0000 UTCSome of my friends sketched some "Drone Links" for me in the past. I suppose there's an element of mind control/bad end to them; though I don't fully know the entirety of the concepts - as it was not intended to be used for Link. It's kinda kinky and slave-y. It's not officially called "drone" but some people have taken to calling it that.
I decided to try my hand at it, though I was mostly just familiarizing myself with the design and trying out some new colours. My direction's based off the Royal Guard Uniform that was introduced into Breath of the Wild with it's second DLC release. I really like the outfit, and I felt that being a drone under the command of a greater force could fit nicely with being a Royal Guard; with it's whole indoctrination under the rule of a monarch one blindly follows, kinda thing.
I'm not happy with the shield; it's drawing more attention than I would like it to. I'm considering a few solutions to that concern. Firstly, pulling the mass in closer to the shield, so it's got less mass, and lowering it's general contrast. It might be worth decreasing it's overall saturation or even making it a single colour. The gag is also making it more of a focal point, so that should be dealt with too.

2018-03-22 02:57:44 +0000 UTCCool concept. I enjoyed the colour scheme of the royal guard uniforms in the DLC but not so much the uniform itself. I do understand not wanting the shield to be a focal point in the drawing, but not the gag either? The gag is pretty fitting in this, it makes it seem less like this is something that they’re doing by choice. Don’t forget to sleep. Keeping a consistent sleep schedule improves your mood.

2018-03-21 12:12:02 +0000 UTCConsidering my eyes went straight to the shield when first viewing this, I agree that the shield draws too much attention. Interesting concept regardless. You say "kinda kinky" but I say "clearly kinky", but I have 0 issues with that, hah.
