I was having a bit of a hard time drawing something in my stream from last night, so I went in this direction, inspired by this piece.
I was pretty much only following the general composition and colour scheme, but in retrospect, I wish I had given a bit more attention to the form - especially the face. My faces tend to look a bit flat. The piece in general has a bit of muddiness, which isn't ideal either. Ah well. I was planning to add the straps to her cleavage window, BUT THE MOMENT IS UP, I'M DONE. I find that I stress less about mistakes or forgetting things if I just move on from pieces when I'm done with them.
This piece was an exercise on restraint. The colours are a lot less saturated/contrasted than I ordinarily make them, and you can definitely see this in the focal points, the face and hair - the shadows are a much more subtle colour than usual. It's good to shake it up and play with new techniques and approaches.
Don't forget to eat.
