I decided to revisit a sketch from earlier in the month, and I'm glad I did so -- this looks much better than it did previously. The smoke is pulled directly from a piece I did last year, but I suppose that's one of the benefits of drawing something so generic; I could re-use it and no one would be any the wiser!

I cleaned up some of the lines (though not so much so as to ruin the energetic nature of the 'inks'), refined the colour masses, and then applied a colour grade to the characters to give them a slightly blue-r tone in some parts. It's really subtle, and you might not notice it unless you were to compare this with the earlier version of the piece. Then I dropped in some bounce light on the right of the characters to help make them feel like they're in the space.

I'm going to use this as one of the pieces for my "End of the Month Illustration Set" thing, so I'm glad it came out as well as it did considering I didn't know that it would look so refined.
