I wasn't feeling so well, and neglected art all weekend, so I wanted to get SOMETHING out. Fortunately, it turned out well enough that I continued along with it -- and then we got this. I struggled with this a bit at first, but I got into a groove and it turned out well enough.
The composition of this is wider than it is tall, so I hope that means it'll look good on twitter. I greatly dislike how twitter will often cut off the top & bottom parts of the image.
Foreshortening is pretty tough to get a grasp on, so I helped push the sense of perspective by putting some thicker lines on the hand closest to us -- which makes it stand out a bit because the inks start to get organically faded in and out of the rendering as we go back. The arm in the back is also covered by some atmospheric perspective; I faded some of the background colour onto it, lightening it up, thus pushing it further back into space.
Elayne's cool. You should go to sleep before she mistakes you for a vampire.
